This gallery contains mostly aviation stock photos taken with a Nikon D800E DSLR. The D800E is a 36.3 megapixel FX-format (full frame) marvel that produces RAW files that are 7494 pixels wide by 4924 pixels high. The D800E has extremely low noise, incredible dynamic range and very accurate colors. The extremely low noise while using high ISO's allows me to take nice photos at night that were previously impossible to do without excessive grain appearing. The much larger native images allow for larger image printing at uninterpolated 300dpi which is far superior to images that have been enlarged using Photoshop interpolated enlargement methods where the computer and software create pixels to fill in the gaps between the smaller image's pixels. The much larger images also permit more cropping of the original RAW file to bring the subjects in much closer while still maintaining 300dpi printing capability.
