Our Flag!! Our Country!!

60 years ago today, the Maple Leaf flag was accepted as the new Canadian flag. Simple but effective and instantly recognizable. We love our American neighbours and we've all been able to get on well. Until one severely disturbed individual decided to try and pit the two countries against each other. What a sorry state of affairs.

This American agrees with you!!! I have family who are dual citizens. They were born in the USA and have lived in Canada for most of their lives. They are citizens of two, separate countries. The USA and Canada have always been close friends and allies. At the same time, the USA and Canada have been and ARE two distinct countries. Those in my family who live in Canada are proud of their Canadian citizenship. As they should be!!! Ditto my Canadian friends born in Canada. With all the chaos the above-mentioned individual is bringing to the USA, I envy my family in Canada who have (until now) been immune to the insanity. I think all the noise now concerning Canada is just a distraction to a wannabe dictator tearing the USA apart for his own gain. Along the way, he doesn't care about who he hurts, The Maple Leaf flag should be flown in pride. Whenever, I see this flag, I think of Canada, the country, and all the wonderful people who call it home. Great photo of YOUR flag!!! It is very recognizable and a beautiful flag.
