There are not too many places like this nowadays. It reminds me a place from my childhood.
Almost similar narrow street close to a convent in Przemysl, Poland. It is impressive.
Stanislaw Miasik from Montreal, Canada.

I love the soft light of this, and how considerate of the cat to pose for you!

Splendid composition, with a painterly quality given by the subdued tonal palette!
A dynamic angle, superb converging lines, a delightful Old World atmosphere...
Beautiful light and lovely textures on the old facades and cobblestones.
The cat is the magic touch that makes the composition so special...

He-he! :) The matter is that this cat was living just in the center of Europe - Prague (most beutiful city 've ever seen)

You are very lucky: in your country it seems it is easy to meet a real cat, quiet and alone in an alley. Here in western europe we have to make postprocessing tricks to get one!

Thanks, Marisa, for your very kind words.. The shot was taken in Prague in 1983 with my old Zenit SLR camera

Looking at your so deeply evocative picture I feel like calling you Serezha ( I cannot use cyrillic alphabet, I have not it on my keyboard...)
Your galleries are full of atmosphere and personal emotions and perspective. I'll come back to visit them very soon, I'm so impressed by your style and your work.
Where did you take this picture?
