Kwazulu-Natal is the home of the Zulu Nation and two UNESCO World Heritage sites: The iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park.

There are also many interesting battlefield sites from both the Anglo-Zulu War and Anglo-Boer War.

The main cities are Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
